Who We Are

Alpine Analytic LLC ("Alpine Analytic," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Alpine Analytic platform at alpine-analytic.com. We provide performance analytics tools for alpine ski racing coaches and programs.

Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of data:

  • Account information: Name, email address, and role when you create an account. Authentication is handled by Clerk, a third-party identity provider.
  • Training data: Session logs, athlete rosters, run times, and related metadata that you enter into the Training Tracker. This data is created by you and stored on your behalf.
  • Payment information: Billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or bank account details. Stripe provides us with a customer ID and subscription status only.
  • Race and athlete data: Publicly available FIS (International Ski Federation) competition results, compiled from official race records. This data is not personal data — it is published competition results.

How We Use Your Data

  • To provide the Alpine Analytic platform and its features
  • To manage your account, subscription, and program membership
  • To generate analytics, charts, and reports from data you provide
  • To communicate with you about your account or service updates

Your Data Belongs to You

Training data you enter — including athlete rosters, session logs, and run times — is yours. We store it on your behalf to provide the service. We do not sell, share, license, or otherwise distribute your training data to any third party. We do not use your data to train machine learning models. We do not provide your data to other coaches, programs, or organizations unless you explicitly share it through the platform's program features.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway (cloud infrastructure). All connections are encrypted in transit via TLS. Authentication is managed by Clerk with industry-standard session management. Payment processing is handled by Stripe with PCI-compliant infrastructure.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

  • Clerk — Authentication and user management
  • Stripe — Payment processing and subscription management
  • Vercel — Frontend hosting and content delivery
  • Railway — Backend hosting and database infrastructure

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data that passes through their systems.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account through the Account page, we delete your coach profile, athlete roster, all training sessions and runs, and your Clerk user account. Subscription data at Stripe is handled according to Stripe's retention policies. Deleted training data is soft-deleted (retained internally for a period) and then permanently removed.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (Clerk session cookies) and onboarding state. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the email associated with your account. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
